Dad, had a stroke prior to this visit. I still to this day do not believe he knew who I was When I asked him he said in his kidding and protective way, of course I know who you are. Pictured... Claire Baur Doelger, Lyla Jaus Baur, Christa Doelger Poole and Owen Kirking, Bethany Doelger Kirking and Liam Kirking, Ralph Baur. We took Dad out to his old churches, the farm, his parents grave site, see his house from the outside where he grew up, and we were able to go inside some of the churches. Mom would remember maybe of the names and towns. I was so surprised that the churches were not locked up that was common I was told.
