1928-11-14 Letter to Clara Baur from J.E. Stern asking her to teach in Bylas, AZ

The Evangelical Lutheran Joint Synod Of Wisconsin and other states

BOARD OF HOME AND FOREIGN MISSIONS

Watertown, Wis. Nov. 14th, 1928

Mrs. Clara Baur, 125 N. Broadway New Ulm, MN

Dear Mrs. Baur, Last week I received a reply from your esteemed father upon an inquiry I made, as to whether or not you would be willing to teach at Bylas, Arizona. He was not quite certain whether or not you would accept a call and asked me to write directly to you. I would have done this in the first place, but did not know your address.

Kindly inform me, if possible, at an early day, if you would be willing to accept a teaching position in our Indian Mission at Bylas, Arizona. Grades to be taught: 1-4 and Beginners grade. Pastor Hillmer, missionary at the station, teaches the upper grades.

Confident that you will give the matter your serious and prayerful consideration and favor me with an early reply I am with cordial greetings.

Sincerely, J.E. Stern, Secretary
