The following are children of Simon Jacob Schneider and Anna Susanna Straub, who were married in Boll O/A Goeppingen. The above mentioned couple were my parents. I was the fifth child. I was born in Owen a.d. Tech O/A Kirchhein a.d. Tech on November 11, 1860. Our family consisted of 17 children.

- Julie and Katherine were educated in England. Julie became a companion to a Vanderbilt woman, and would send “ritzy” cast-off clothes to the Hinderer girls. Julie had a daughter – Julie Phifer – who lived in CA.
- Katherine became a governess to some wealthy family’s children. She never married. Another girl was still born with Katherine.

Note by Ralph Baur Feb 2, 1990: “There are discrepancies in dates of which I am very much aware, but I printed it as it was on the sheet from which I got the information, in hopes that it may help someone decipher dates that are not easily read and help them to determine a portion of a date if it is not totally discernible. It is a basis to work from when the time comes that someone will research it in detail and come up with exact, for a fact, dates.”

note: Rosemarie Hinderer There are some discrepancies as Klara was born twice once in Owen (it is Owen an der Teck,not Onen ) and then in Blaubeuren.
