Clara Baur

Seattle - Clara Baur, 93, formerly of New Ulm, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, after breaking her hip.

A funeral was held at Salem Lutheran Church in Edmonds, WA. The committal will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Cedar Mills in Spring.

Before moving to New Ulm<ref>1928 - they were allowed to stay in the parsonage until the new pastor arrived.</ref> she and her husband, the late Pastor Alfred Baur, lived in Cedar Mills where he served at St. John's Lutheran Church. After his death, she moved to New Ulm and served as secretary to the superintendent of schools for 18 years.

In 1947, she moved to Nebraska for several years and then returned as marton in Centennial Hall at Dr. Martin Luther College. She moved to Seattle in 1956 and was secretary to her brother, who was an attorney in Seattle. She also worked at Bon Marche, a large department store in Seattle.

While in Washington, she made her home with her son, Pastor Ralph Baur, and his family.

Clara T. Baur, died January 12, 1982 in Edmonds.

She was born September 16th 1888 in LaCrescent, MN. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Edmonds, WA.

She is survived by her son, Reverand Ralph Baur, of Edmonds; 7 grandchildren<ref>Kathryn Baur, Martin Baur, Alan Baur, James Baur, Claire Baur, Paul Baur, Ronald Baur</ref>; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitations: Friday at Beck Funeral Home, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, 11-1 p.m. Services, Saturday, 1 p.m., Salem Lutheran Church, Edmonds. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church.
