Well Protected
And if the distress grows a lot,
I flee, Lord, into your lap;
There I am well protected
From grief, distress and sorrow.
You open the source to consolation for me
And you bright my cloudy eye
And you let all wounds
from my sick heart heal.
You treat me with some rest for a while
And take from me the weights of the worries
And rest my complaints
And help me to bear my cross.
So come what may,
In you my soul is still;
I live or I die
However as your child and heir.
