- The first article is about the "evangelic-lutheran" community of St.Pauls at Arlington, Minn. The first settlers to live there came around 1850-1860 and were from german lutheran origin. The first church was build 1871 under pastor K.F.Schulze and pastor Sprengler. From 1873 to 1876 was Mr. Kolbe from Green Isle pastor, from 1877 to 1886 Mr. Hunziker from New Rome. 1886 a new, bigger church was build. 1887/88 Mr. Rumpf was pastor. 1888 the community decided to became independent and build a home for an own pastor. From 1.1.1889 on was C.F.Kock pastor, who became a member of the Minnesota synod. 1902 he became pastor in Belle Plaine, and R. Heidemann (on the foto) from Stillwater, Minnesota became new pastor until "nowadays".
- The second article is about the "evangelic-lutheran" community of St.Petri at Balaton, Minn. It was founded in 1885. The first pastor living there, from 4th October 1888 on, was R. Pöthke. He served in other communities too. 1900 the church was build. R. Fehlau became pastor in 1901, and 1904 P. Scherf (on the foto). He serves also in the city of Tyler and for the St.Johns-community in the city of Arco.
