Artifacts displayed at St. John's anniversary celebration

The altar ware was used at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cedar Mills, MN while Alfred Baur served there. In 1950 the church gave them to Ralph Baur to use in his NE mission churches, and then at Salem Lutheran Church, Edmonds, WA.

1950-"Motion to give the old altar, communion ware, Hymn board & Baptismal font of the old church to Pastor Ralph Baur at Broken Bow, Nebraska where he was in a Mission" <ref> Minutes of St. JOhn's meeting minutes from Val Murphy</ref>

This is the same altar ware used at Salem Lutheran Church, Edmonds, WA. As of this writing, Mom has these items.

Val Murphy: The card states in 1950 the altar ware was donated to Rev Ralph Baur for a mission church in Nebraska-he took it with to his church in Washington and then back to New Ulm when he retired. Mrs Baur still had it and borrowed it to us to display today.

Lois Scheele Hartman: I think that's the exact tapestry we have in our church parish hall.

Timothy Amos Potter: I communed from that ware. Now it means even more to me as I learn a bit of it's history. I really miss your dad, he was a very influential and important man in my life. I look forward to a reunion with him.
