Louis Jaus

Gibbon

Louis Jaus, 62, of Gibbon died Monday, July 18th, 1994, at her home.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Moltke Township, Sibley County, the Reverend Robert F Fisher officiated. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today and 7:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon, continuing one hour before services at the church.

Mrs. Jaus was born April 13th, 1932, in Gibbon to Henry and Edna (Panning] Bode. She graduated from Gibbon High School in 1950 and from Abbot Hospital Nursing School in 1953. She married Roman Jaus on April 9th, 1953, at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Molke Township. They farmed in Moltke Township. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, LWML and the Mental Health Advisory Board. She was also a 4-H leader.

She is survived by her husband, of Gibbon; her mother, of Gibbon; five daughters, Paula and her husband Rhon Helverson of Montevideo, Karla and her husband, Dale Tate, of Dodge Center, Linda and her husband, Michael Ryder, of Brooklyn Center, Kathleen and her husband, Richard Delestre, of Kasota and Miriam Jaus of Le Sueur: two sons, Martin Jaus and his wife, Loretta, and Gerald Jaus, all of Gibbon; 18 grandchildren, and two sisters and their husbands, Elaine and Floyd Kent of Gibbon and Carol and Wayne Langevin of of Morristown.

She was preceded in death by her father, one son-in-law and a grandson.
