Memories
Hi Mom, Did you know St. Peter’s, Moltke Township, is a daughter congregation of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fort Ridgely, MN?
NO...I have never heard that.
Do know that Dad's Grp. Baur served Ft. Ridgely....I think.
When they closed, Dad was asked..........NO.........come to think of it........... .....I think they had already been closed for some time and the church itself was going to be torn down and so the Baur relatives gathered there for a service and Dad preached. That would have been in the 70's I think.
Within recent years Uncle Tony and I went out to the cemetery of the Ft. Ridgely Church...since it was within ten miles or so from Fairfax where Uncle Tony and Aunt Marvel were in the Assisted Living facility.
So much to learn and remember....... God bless you for ALL you are finding. Mom
