- William Sauer was a senior in the "Classical Department in 1901-1902. William lived in Johnson, MN at the time. Schoolmates included Ernest Wendlend. Doubt he is the author of Dear Mister Missionary where Clara is mentioned. Clara used to collect used stamps from the Bon Marche store where she worked in Seattle, WA and send the money to the African Mission. Clara regularly wrote letters to Ernest.
