Mrs. Lydia Streich Dies at Judson, Rites Saturday

A native of Gibbon, MN, Mrs. Lydia Bertha Streich, who has been living in Judson, MN for nearly four years, died this morning at her home. Mrs. Streich, 66, was born in Gibbon July 17, 1890.

She and her husband have been living in Judson with two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marie) Jones, and Mrs. Elfrieda DeGroat. When she was three, Mrs. Streich moved to Johnson, MN with her parents. At 10, her father, the late Re. J. Baur, accepted a call to the congregation in Eden Township, Morgan, MN.

She was married to Arthur Streich June 17, 1915 and made her home in Hutchinson, MN for the next six years. The family the moved to Sanborn, MN where they lived until September of 1953.

Survivors are: her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Ted (Ruth Wedge, Minneapolis, MN, Mrs. Floyd (Norma) Robertson, Minneapolis, MN, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Tomschin, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. DeGroat; eight grandchildren.

Four sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Pieper, Caledonia, MN, Mrs. R. Rocker, Janesville, MN; and Helen and Cordelia Baur, Judson, MN; and one brother, Theodore Baur, Springfield, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran church in North Mankato with the Rev. R. Haase officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa (sic) cemetery. Arrangements are by the Johnson-Boman funeral home.
