This was quite the place. Hank Carsten's Dad started the business many years ago and I don't think the building ever changed. The inside just facinated me. The gears and chains.
One iron gear was about 15 feet in diameter. The links of the chain were about 12" long. Just huge.
They had the old weight and balance scale for weighing the bags of grain. It always surprised me that such "old" technology was still in use. I loved that place. It was a step back in time.
