Notes:
This is a picture of Mom's 32 year old Tanta Lydia. Tante Lydia was a special person in Mom's life because Mom was 5 when her mom died in 1935.
It is written Lydia's 28 year old sister Anna. Tante Anna was also a very special person in Mom's life. Mom spent a lot of time in Tante Anna's home. I don't know for certain it was written by Lydia, just seems to make sense.
Two years after this picture was taken Lydia's husband died in 1919 leaving his wife and young son. Edward had owned a pharmacy in the town of Hutchinson, MN.
This picture is taken the winter before Anna got married to Henry Gruenhagen on June 7th, 1917. They moved to a farm near Hallok, MN after getting married.
The boy in the picture is her son Roland (better known as Putz). After Edward died, these two moved back to the family farm in Gibbon where Anna was living at the time.
