Liebe Mama! Sende dir hiermit ein Bilddes Männer[...]. Ich habe anstatt zwei großer Bilder für $1(?), ein halbes Dutzend Postkarten für 40¢ genommen. Sonst gesund.

Dear Mom!

Hereby I'm sending you a picture of the men's (not sure: choir?). Instead of two big pictures for $1(?) I've picked half a dozen postcards for 40¢. Otherwise I'm healthy.

The Männer... one is hard to read. It might be followed by "c", definitely a "h", then "o" or "a", then one or two of "r", "n" or "m", then "s".

So "chor" (choir) is a possibility (even though it doesn't _really_ fit, but he might have written all 6 cards in quick succession and with little time and was sloppy?), and I can't make out any other possible word that would fit here ("chor" wouldn't be used for an orchestra, but if it was a choir with orchestral support that would fit).
