Ramona Meyer Potter:"another fond Scheele memory. Esther's smile. I don't recall if it was crooked or what was so unique (other than the dimples that we were so deep you could take a guided donkey tour to the bottom of them!) but her smile was 100% hers and hers only. I had not seen her in decades when she came to visit our mother after her cancer dx/or maybe when Mom was actually dying. This stranger walked into the dinette and greeted me like a long lost friend. I had no clue who it was. And then she smiled. And all the years and ravages of her own cancer battle just melted away and there was no doubt who I was talking with. She still not only smiled, she bubbled with joy. If ever God's love shone through someone's personality, it did through your sister."
Lois Scheele Hartman: "Oh my goodness. You almost made me cry. But what you say is true. Her smile came from her heart and I was always jealous of her dimples. And she was very caring of others. I did not know she came to see Myrtle but I'm not surprised. Thanks for your story Ramona. I miss her so much."
